Carnegie shortlisted books donated by TSLS
This year, The Stewartry Literary Society is contributing books to the school libraries of the secondary schools in Castle Douglas, Dalbeattie and Kirkcudbright. The Carnegie shortlisted titles will be gifted to the schools, together with supporting resources for the Shadowing Scheme. The Carnegies are the UK’s longest running and best-loved children’s book awards, recognising outstanding reading experiences created through writing and illustration in books for children and young people. The Stewartry Secondary Schools – The Annual Essay Literary Award The Stewartry Literary Society, in its relationship with the wider community, presents an annual Essay Literary Award to each of the three Secondary Schools in the Stewartry: Dalbeattie, Castle Douglas, and Kirkcudbright.
